Celebrations 2016

Yates County Arts Center

Live music and refreshments will be provided, served with locally crafted hard cider from Star Cider in Geneva.

We offer a very special Featured Artist: Faith Benedict, Artist of the Year 2015. The graceful, functional pieces with the soft, airbrushed, organic designs that characterize Faith's hand thrown pottery are a perpetual favorite of Arts Center patrons, as are the pottery classes she offers for the Arts Center in partnership with Keuka College.

Shop locally this season! These skilled artists and crafts people will be exhibiting the perfect gifts for your loved ones.

Eli Applebaum, an Arts Center teacher, will display a wealth of sparkling blown glass creations, perfect for your home this holiday.
Fred Brockway will have lovely tuned wooden Christmas ornaments and a selection of jewelry also made from wood for that special someone.
The Folk Art Guild potters and woodworkers will be showing lovingly created unique pottery and old fashioned wooden toys.
Naomi Lapp will offer beautifully hand-quilted pieces complementing your home holiday season decorating.
Nancy Langford will offer a dazzling array of exquisitely marbled notebooks, boxes, and paper.
Dan LoFurno recycles scrape metal to create heartwarming and comical metal sculptures; a perfect accent for your home or garden.
Bookmaker, Allie Push, transforms readily available materials such as cardboard and newspaper, recycling into notebooks. A perfect gift for those looking to make a positive impact on our world this holiday season.
Sally Thomas, who is also a painter and one of our regular wall artists, will be exhibiting her lovely handmade pottery pieces.
