Hodinöhsö:ni’ Women: From the Time of Creation

Join the Dundee Area Historical Society for dinner and an exciting presentation by Peter Jemison about the new Hodinöhsö:ni’ Women: From the Time of Creation exhibit at the Seneca Art & Culture Center at Ganondagan.

The event will be held at the Tyrone Fire Hall on April 24. Social time begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m. The presentation begins at 7 p.m. The Fire Hall is located at 3600 Route 226, Tyrone.

Steve Owens of the Classic Café in Dundee will provide the ham dinner. The cost is $12 for Dundee Area Historical Society members and $16 for non-members.

Jemison will share the missing story of Native American women in United States history, their foundational role in equality for all women, and their continued contributions to society. Hodinöhsö:ni’ women played and continue to play a significant cultural, historical, and contemporary role within their community and in the historical accomplishments of all women in the United States of America.
