Yates County JOB FAIR

The next Yates County JOB FAIR, Recruitment Day, will take place on Thursday,
October 26th at the Yates Community Center, 463 North Main St. Penn
Yan.  There will be two industry specific
sessions during the day.  Session 1 will
focus on employers from the Health & Human Services sector and will be open
for job seekers from 9am-11am.  Session 2
will focus on the Manufacturing sector and will be open from job seekers from
1pm-3pm.  This event provides an
excellent networking opportunity for job seekers to meet employers.  The event will be open and free to the
public.
Employers will be recruiting for full-time and part-time
positions.

Job seekers that need help preparing for the Job Fair, recruitment
day, are encouraged to attend a free workshop being offered at the Yates County
Workforce Development Office, 417 Liberty St. Penn Yan on October 24th
at 2pm.   This workshop is open and free
to the public and will prepare job seekers for the recruitment day on October
26th.  Job seekers are
encouraged to bring their resumes for review.

Job seekers who attend the Job Fair will also have the
opportunity to sign up for training certifications and certificates in Guest
Service, Team Building and a Leadership/Manager’s Academy offered at the center
on future dates. There are individual scholarships available for these classes
and local businesses are welcome to sign up, call 315-694-1071 for more
information.

is presented by the Yates Community Center’s Work and Life Skill Training program
 in partnership with Yates Workforce
Development and Finger Lakes Works.
